| Howi, this one is for you. Seeing both Howi and Al picking up the guitar, I've decided to follow suit and give it a shot. My good friend here in Vancouver lent me his all-white Squier Strat, by Fender (they provide the design for the Rock Band guitars) and Fender amp. Since I play Rock Band a little more than I should, I was immediately familiar with the strat's look and shape, but definitely not the weight. 
After borrowing it one week ago and playing it non-stop, the first thing that happened was Howi's blog about his shredding/shredded fingers. It HURTS! I've finally began to develop calluses, which definitely helps increase practicing time. Al sent me a PDF on learning guitar, and I've been going through the lessons one by one. It reminds me a lot of when I was learning to play the piano, and had to do all the boring scales, chords, and repetitive drills. But at least this time, it's towards being a... rock star (yeah right). Having limited space in my room to practice, it's a little challenging to play. Even though it's just the beginning, I can see But give it a bit of time and boys, we're going to ROCK!!!!
